Digital Owl Painting Final!

My finished digital owl painting. In this final here I have added a background and some subtle blues and purples to the dark and light areas of the feathers. Took about all together maybe like 8-10ish hours. I worked in the computer lab here at DAAP and worked on a Cintique. Done in Photoshop CS5.

Added some blues into the dark spots and added some texture. Added more color to the eye and blahblah blahhhhh...all that good stuffs!

Owl Digital Painting Take 1

Mkay as you all know by now I LOVE OWLS! So...I'm doing a digital painting of an owl for a school project. I'm gonna put up the steps I do so you can see how I work. This way maybe you'll get some ideas or you can give me some. Just a fun way to see how my brain wants me to make things :) I'm doing this on a Cintiq at school so thats fun and new! I'm working in CS5 and any work at home is done in CS3. So ciao for now. Don't know when the next post for this cutie will be, its gonna be a busy weekend. I'm going to The Haunt tomorrow!!!!!!! >D I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!! :D

Dragon*Con

So me and some friends went down to Atlanta, GA this past weekend and we went to Dragon*Con...and let me tell you...IT WAS SOO AMAZING!!!!!!! There was so much to do and see! I cosplayed for the first time, which was a neat experience. It was really great cause for everyone who recognized my character they all wanted to take my picture! I was like a celebrity ahahah! :D I cosplayed scout from TF2. Now I've been thinking about other characters I'd like to do...like Dr. Mrs. The Monarch or Moltov Cocktease lol...another TF2 character would be fun, but idk who I'd do! I definitely want to do a splicer from Bioshock, the one with the owl mask, since I like owls :D I'd love to do a Marvel superhero, but who? I'd like to stick to ginger ppl so that way I don't have to get a wig or dye my hair lol. Anyways, at the con I went to some awesome panels. I went to the Venture Bros. panel and the creators were there. They were so cool, they actually came out into the audience. I saw Stan Lee speak! That was so amazing!!!!!!! He is soooooo funny!!! And then I went to a Gargoyles the Animated series panel where the characters of Demona and Zanatos spoke. So many happy fun times!!! I made lots of friends too :D So hopefully I'll see them again next year or at other cons!

Griffin

Here is a fun little something something. I did this in about an hour in Photoshop CS3. And of course with the final are the step by steps :D I've never really tried to draw a griffin before, so I think this turned out fairly nicely. I like the gesture outline to it...then again, I do love gesture drawings lol.
